Muscle Growth Through Level Up

Is something like this generally possible in games? With regard to Conan Exiles, i was asked this question during a coffee break.

The answer first: “Yup, it is possible with some constraints!”

In simplified terms: It’s a recalculation of the chars physique triggered by perk change.

It’s done here with admin rights and i’ve cut the loading screen from the vid, which is loaded, similar to a teleportation with admin rights on the map (Crtl+Right Mouse Click).

Programmatically, it could also be implemented depending on the points awarded in the attributes. Strength, agility and grit would be suitable here.
Of course, a recalculation of the physique would also be necessary here.

Some thoughts

Whether is this so useful for level up in battles, remains to be seen ???

Alternatively one could query the respective level when restarting the game and calculate the growth accordingly.

Whether it makes sense in principle when mods like Fashonist (CharEditLite) exist, is also a question i ask myself. Maybe a immersive feature for roleplayers^^

Nevertheless, the idea facinates me and i’ve often asked me the question by blueprinting in the Dev Kit, is there any RPG, MMO, Survival or similar where a feature has been implemented or if there are games where you age depending on the playing time of a char, for example.

Maybe even die of old age?

When I look at our WOW Discord, three generations in the meantime…

Can you be buried in WOW at the gates of Stormwind. Is that included in the monthly abo? 😁

Weddings have already taken place…

Back to the topic: The point of the game is to survive in a mostly hostile environment, and the longer you manage to do so, here indicated by level-ups, the more defined your body should look.

Basically it works, see the video.
